By the end of winter, Mount Shasta usually has a heavy coat of snow on her upper slopes. However, she often emerges from behind a shroud of clouds with a fresh dusting of snow that never reaches the valley below. This frequent dusting of powder keeps her looking her best well into the spring and summer. Photographed in Siskiyou County, CA.
