THE PHOTOGRAPHS IN THIS GALLERY ARE BLUEGRASS RELATED. MOST OF THE PHOTOS ARE FROM THE SCOTT VALLEY BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL WHICH IS HELD EACH JULY IN ETNA, CA.

Some of the performers photographed are amateurs and others are professional or semi-professional and many are friends. If anyone finds their picture here and doesn't want it posted, please contact me through this website and identify the image and I will remove or modify the image so that you are not visible.

My interest in bluegrass stems from the fact that I once played in a bluegrass band. It turns out that I'm a better photographer than a guitar picker so you can imagine how bad I was.

You will notice that often I have more than one version of the same image. I frequently employ different processing and cropping treatments in order exploit the full dimensions of an image, emphasize an element or to create a look or feel that I like.

NOTE: From time to time I make these images downloadable for the bands and individuals in the photographs. While I maintain commercial rights to the images, the individuals and bands photographed may use the images for their personal use and bands may use the images to promote their band or bluegrass festivals and music.
