#417A - MOUNT SHASTA WITH GLOWING CLOUD (1:1.25)
This amazing cloud appeared as the sun was rising behind Mount Shasta. I have never seen anything like it before. The cloud is likely snow or ice crystals being whipped around by high winds at the peak and the rainbow colors are a result of the angle of the sun relative to the cloud. It was beautiful but very transient. Photographed in Siskiyou County, CA.
